INTERACTIVE GEODESIC DOME AT WHAT THE FESTIVAL 2015

Some festivals really get the interactive art component right and this could absolutely be said for the What The Festival (WTF?!) electronic music festival in 2015 at the Wolf Run Ranch in eastern Oregon.

In fact, the producers activated an entire forest full of interactive art of which Sensebellum was honored to fill out an immersive 25’ geodesic dome right in the middle of it all.

Electronic music festivals can be great proving grounds for artistic ideas.

If the piece can survive a weekend of all day interaction, the dust, some genuine weirdness, and all the strain and stress while still expanding minds then one can be fairly confident they have a genuine hit activation.

This was effectively proven once again for a duo of the Sensebellum original art installation, The Sandbox of Life.

By featuring two installations, each sporting a different mode spanning lasers and digital life forms, patrons to the geodesic dome could explore one, then the other, then come back later in the night with their friends to show them what utter magic they had sparked.

All in all it was an excellent time and the installations shone through until it was all over and time to head back to reality.

Massive thank you to the organizers and producers of WTF?! May the good memories live on ever more!
