THE EVENT

Periodic is a prime slice of real estate in the core of downtown Seattle. Its mission is to promote innovative retail experiences of regional brands in a pop-up fashion.

When the curators contacted Sensebellum in the summer of 2020 it was a breath of fresh air to be able to once again exhibit our best works in such an accessible location for all to enjoy.

With complete creative design freedom it was an excellent chance to realize a space that was truly Sensebellum. A place where the senses combine through interactive art, science, technology, and nature.

THE EXPERIENCE

From the outside the venue beckoned a closer look at the glowing colors, intriguing geometric forms, and sights of others having a good time.

Immediately upon entrance visitors were greeted with a giant screen showing scenes of the Earth from space, softly overlaid with floating geometric forms.

Once inside a team of professional docents was there to greet, check in any belongings, and then provide information and assistance in the space as needed.

A glance around the entire room revealed the full set of Sensebellum original art installations. The air was fresh from the plants and the music was a mix of upbeat electronica and natural noises.

Where to start?

^^ EXPLORE THE STUDIO SPACE ^^

Musical plants, classic simulation games in an arcade cabinet, microscopic views into natural oddities, and so much more awaited each group of visitors to the space.

Guests were able to dig in the sandbox a bit, maybe create a few digital worlds, admire large scale prints, then get a nice photo with a glowing interactive LED wall.

All this and more combined to be part of a trip to the Sensebellum Pop-Up experience!

“Just wanted to send a quick note congratulating Sensebellum on a super successful run at Periodic! Working with you has been amazing and we feel very fortunate to have hosted the Sensebellum experience.”
