THE EVENT
The Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival is a classic gem of the Pacific Northwest music, arts, and summer festival season.
Hosted on the massive Seattle Center grounds the event has a multi-decade history with a reputation for the best music, art, and performances from around the world.
Sensebellum was honored to showcase a trio of The Sandbox of Life as an opening activation inside the Fisher Pavilion art exhibition area.
THE EXPERIENCE
Upon entering the atrium to the entire art pavilion patrons were greeted with a set of Sandboxes glowing with interactive digital life forms and laser spawned visuals.
Each installation provided a unique take on the dynamic of interactive augmented reality sandbox.
Upon approach a waist high sandbox, partially filled with sand, was beckoning further investigation and a bit of imagination. Each brush stroke influenced real time visuals of flocking digital life and emergent phenomenon based precisely on the composition of the sandy landscape.
A set of professional docents helped entice newcomers and add additional context for those exploring all of the vast possibilities and open ended interactions within.
It was a huge debut for Sensebellum and The Sandbox of Life to be showcased at such a world class event.
