12th Ave Arts Center is a very forward thinking building in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. And it is perfect for projection mapping.
To ring in the grand opening Sensebellum was asked to provide a creative visual display of projection mapping for the August Capitol Hill Art Walk
THE ARTISTIC PROCESS
After taking a view of the site some ideas coalesced: foot traffic, the vintage marquee, mixed living spaces, playful in an age of modernity, etc. The projections should reflect the city and its many inhabitants.
A diversity of styles all living on one surface. No one artist could accurately capture this, nor should one voice define the moment. For this we created an original approach. A stable foundation for letting many artists collaborate on the building to be projection mapped upon.
